Synthesizing Agent Protocols From LTL Specifications Against Multiple Partially-Observable Environments
نویسندگان
چکیده
We consider the problem of synthesizing an agent protocol satisfying LTL specifications for multiple, partiallyobservable environments. We present a sound and complete procedure for solving the synthesis problem in this setting and show it is computationally optimal from a theoretical complexity standpoint. While this produces perfect-recall, hence unbounded, strategies we show how to transform these into agent protocols with bounded number of states.

Formal Methods for Control Synthesis in Partially Observed Environments: Application to Autonomous Robotic Manipulation
Modern robots are increasingly expected to function in uncertain and dynamically challenging environments, often in proximity with humans. In addition, wide scale adoption of robots requires on-the-fly adaptability of software for diverse application. These requirements strongly suggest the need to adopt formal representations of high level goals and safety specifications, especially as tempora...
متن کاملSynthesizing Petri nets from LTL specifications – An engineering approach
In this paper we present a pattern-based approach for synthesizing truly distributed Petri nets from a class of LTL specifications. The synthesis allows for the automatic, correct generation of humanly conceivable Petri nets, thus circumventing a manual construction of nets, or the use of Büchi automata which are not distributed and often less intuitive to understand.
متن کاملRecovery from Plan Failures in Partially Observable Environments
The paper discusses a distributed approach to multi-agent plan execution and control, where a team of agents may perform actions concurrently in a partially observable environment. Each agent is able to supervise the execution of the actions it is responsible for by means of an on-line monitoring step and to perform agent diagnosis when a failure in the execution of an action has been detected....
متن کاملSynthesis for Probabilistic Environments
In synthesis we construct finite state systems from temporal specifications. While this problem is well understood in the classical setting of non-probabilistic synthesis, this paper suggests the novel approach of open synthesis under the assumptions of an environment that chooses its actions randomized rather than nondeterministically. Assuming a randomized environment inspires alternative sem...
متن کاملSynthesis of Distributed Systems from Knowledge-Based Specifications
We consider the problem of synthesizing protocols in a distributed setting satisfying specifications phrased in the logic of linear time and knowledge. In general, synthesis in distributed settings is undecidable already for lineartime temporal logic specifications, but there exist special cases in which synthesis from linear-time temporal logic specifications is known to be decidable. On the b...
